Supporting, Connecting and Inspiring the Over 50s Community in Romney Marsh
We are a community driven charity dedicated to tackling loneliness, promoting well being, and creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued.
Life after 50 should be fulfilling, active, and social. We are here to make sure it is. Whether you are looking for practical support, social activities, health and well being programmes, or volunteering opportunities, we provide everything you need to stay connected, confident, and thriving.

A Hub for Everyone
RMCH is more than just a service provider for the over 50s. We are a community space where everyone is valued. Whether you are a young person looking for support, an older adult looking to stay independent, or someone wanting to give back through volunteering, we have something here for you.
We work with local agencies, businesses, and volunteers to create a stronger, healthier and more connected Romney Marsh.

At the heart of our charity, we provide:
- Community Hubs and Social Spaces; safe, welcoming places like RMCH, where people can connect, relax, and take part in activities.
- Social Groups and Events; from coffee mornings to creative workshops, we create opportunities for people to make friends and build confidence.
- Practical Support and Advice; whether signposting to essential services or offering direct help, we are here to guide and support you.
- Volunteering and Skills Development; we empower individuals to give back, learn new skills, and grow in confidence.

WHAT’S ON AT THE HUB
We offer a variety of events, workshops, and social gatherings to bring the community together. Whether you are interested in fitness sessions, creative workshops, or social meet ups, we have crafted something for everyone:

Health and Fitness Classes
We have a range of fitness classes running through the week for all abilities. From Line Dancing to Seated Tai Chi, there is something for everyone.
Social and Community Activities
Focused on building connections, enjoyment, fun and friendships. This includes Board Games Club, Sunflower Singers and more.
Arts and Crafts
Our creative clubs are for everyone regardless of artistic skill or experience. We welcome you all to these friendly events which include our Art Club and Crafty Club.
Support and Wellbeing
Providing practical, emotional and peer lead support for all. We currently offer a Cancer Peer Support Group Coffee and Catch Up, Armed Forces Veterans Drop In and more.
OUR VISION FOR THE FUTURE
By 2029, we aim to make Romney Marsh an even better place to live.
Here’s what we are striving for:
Expanding our services, especially for dementia and mental health support.
Developing new spaces, like the Hub on the Beach.
Providing more transport options for those in need.
Building stronger partnerships with local organisations.
Opening a third Sunflower Charity Shop to help fund our services.
We take pride in being one of the largest employers in Romney Marsh and are dedicated to growing alongside our community.
