How to get in touch with the Romney Marsh Community Hub
Posted on Friday, September 17, 2021
We are pleased to announce that the Hub was today officially opened by the Right Worshipful the Mayor of New Romney, Councillor Paul Thomas, together with The Worshipful Mayor of Lydd, Councillor Martin Sweeney.
The VIP guests were joined by members of the Romney marsh Community Hub, together with the Hub President and Trustees, representatives from Kent County Council, and Folkestone and Hythe District Council, as well as colleagues from other partner agencies and charities including CARM and Age UK Hythe & Lyminge.
Councillor Thomas said: “It is a pleasure to be here today to see the result of everyone’s hard work over the past 18 months. What has been achieved is something to be hugely proud of and it is clear that when you have the members, the volunteers, the team that this charity does, it really is possible to build for the future. The Hub has, quite literally saved lives during the pandemic but it is an ongoing job to support people getting back to normality. I wish the Hub every success.”
