what we have been up to in the last 6 months

What a busy 6 months we have had here at the Hub.

Fundraising has gone very well, we have held quiz nights, a race night, our regular Spring Fayre and our Summer Food Fayre, had a tombola at the Lydd Food Festival, held indoor bootfairs, had themed meals and been supported by local businesses who have our collection pots.

We also got the excellent news that we had been awarded a 3 year grant from The Henry Smith Charity to provide additional information and advice services.

We have started a new peer support group for people affected by diabetes, this is a welcome addition to our current peer support offer for; Ex Armed Services Personnel, People Affected by Dementia and people affected by Cancer.

We are about to open our 3rd charity shop (watch this space), and we open our new Hub on The Beach this week.

We have been given money from Kent County Council to start a Dial a Ride Service, we are hoping to start this in September, more details to follow.
